1 O LORD, our Lord, in all the earth
how excellent is your name!
Your glory you have spread afar
in all the starry frame.
2 From lips of children, you, O Lord
have mighty strength ordained,
that adversaries should be stilled
and vengeful foes restrained.
3 The heavens shout your handiwork;
we stand beneath in awe,
4 to think the One who made all things
should care for us at all.
5 You made us little less than those
who dwell in heaven above,
and you have crowned and honored us
with glory and with love.
6 You gave us charge of all the works
created by your hand,
and everything that you had made
you gave us to command:
7,8 All flocks and herds, and birds and fish,
all beasts both wild and tame.
9 In all the earth, O LORD our Lord,
how glorious is your name!
